Setup in Two Easy Steps

Step 1 — Set Your Launch Page as your Homepage

Go to Settings > Reading.
Where it says, “Front page displays,” choose “A static page,” and select “Sign-Up” from the dropdown menu. When you refresh this page, it will disappear and your launch page will appear instead.

Step 2 — Start Designing!

Go to Launch Effect > Designer.
Now for the fun part! The Designer is now divided into three sections: Global Styles, Sign-Up Page, and Theme (premium only). That submenu is located directly under the giant Designer/Integrations/Stats tabs. The best way to get started here is to just start playing around and gaining an understanding of what selections affect which parts of the design. Good luck!

My great friends over at Branded PR have partnered with Polow Da Don and his nonprofit organization, Foundation F.O.C.U.S. and The American Cancer Society to bring Atlanta the Celebration 4 A Cause Fashion Show in an effort to bring awareness to the prevention, education, treatment & cure for cancer. The fashion show, set to be held this Friday July 15th, 2011 in Atlanta, is the highlight of the Focus 4 Life campaign and will be hosted be lifestyle & fashion specialist Bevy Smith.

The show is set to feature  collections from Coco & Breezy, Reco Chappelle, Sachika, True Religion & many others as well as a special performance from Mary Mary.

Harper’s Bazaar tapped the eye of street style photog Tommy Ton to capture teh Fall 2011 collections in a way only he can. Vivid and focused, the shots feature Tommy’s signature style while highlighting the must-haves for the upcoming season.

I’m already guessing that the Miu Miu collection will be much photographed: Kate Moss appears on the cover of the August Vogue UK wearing look #4. It was my absolute favorite runway show of the season.

Shala Monroque and Margherita Missoni in the picture below are serving up plenty of inspiration….

Meanwhile, two of my faves are back: Vika Gazinskaya & Miroslava Duma. I always look forward to their pics because I know they’ll always catch Tommy’s eye and inspire my closet.

I think I’ll shed a little tear if Riccardo Tisci goes to Dior. I mean, I get it…it’s DIOR but the things that he’s doing at Givenchy….my goodness. I recently had a conversation with friends where I stated  no longer wanted to have a wedding…still want to get married but the idea of the actual day is getting a bit meh. After seeing these dresses, my tune has changed significantly. I mean, do you think it’d be a bit much to wear a couture creation to City Hall?

To say I’ve been waiting for this collection is a complete understatement. For me, as a super girly-girl turned extremely feminine woman, it gets no better than the beautiful designs that Keren Craig & Georgina Chapman masterfully construct with each season. I imagine stepping into the Marchesa showroom would be comparable to a kid in a candy store…perfect for me because I have quite the sweet tooth.

 

 

The Resort ’12 collection was worth the wait. The glamourous cuts & stunning details make this collection seem less resort, more red carpet & I personally can’t wait to see.

Now, it’s one thing to be able to push the boundaries of fashion; but to actually make CRAZINESS look good? It takes a special skill. Baltimore born, hip hop artist RyeRye has that “thing”. She’s been out and about, working with artists like Santogold and M.I.A,(being deemed M.I.A’s protege’) made her THAT much cooler.

I’m not here to write about her music though, it’s all about the CRAZY pieces she finds and rocks. Obviously into the vintage look and prints- RyeRye took the fashion by storm and mixed her look COMPLETELY. This is fearless fashion and she had the style to change the game.
